Some restaurants in the city are not just dining places; they are institutions. If they disappeared from the city, I would personally have an identity crisis on behalf of Oslo. Habibi is such a place. Since the 90s, they have served Lebanese and Palestinian food to the people of Oslo, and introduced us to perhaps the highest culinary delight on their menu – mezze! You know, all those small, fine plates and bowls with various dishes, colors, and smells. Excuse me, can you pass me the hummus, may I have more of that dip, wow have you tried these olives?

Eating mezze is about being together, and perhaps that is what food is ultimately about – sharing time, space, and tasteful experiences. Together. Welcome to the kitchen of community, welcome to Habibi. By the way, Habibi means friend, so bring all your habibis and experience the delightful Palestinian cuisine!
